Wow, this is really well done. I like the colors on the shirt, they really blend with the picture, and they aren't too bright or too much, very simple and light colored so they aren't un-blending for this photo. I really like the facial expression, it goes well with this. I also LOVE the hair, very pretty and the colors in it are perfect. Now THIS is what I call artistic nude. I've seem people try, but this is truly what I'd call "Art."
I also really like the lighting, and the "no background" technique. Beautiful, just beautiful. Slender Lassie
A nicely conceived piece, but as ever there is room for improvement and progress.
3.5 stars for vision, because I think you have definitely presented a picture of beauty and of female radiance. But, I don't feel as connected to the subject as I could be, I don't feel like this piece communicates to me a profound or meaningful message; I feel like it is beauty for beauty's sake. Not that this is a bad thing at all, in fact it can be a very pleasant thing. Maybe something to consider with your next photographs.
3 stars for originality, tying into what I said about vision. This sort of photograph has been done many times before, however this isn't completely unoriginal - I haven't seen a nice, simple pose in artistic nude photography for a few days now. A lot of other photographers attempt very artistic poses, to varying degrees of success, but you have kept it nicely simple and it works.
Technique is 4.5 stars, your clearly know how to handle a camera and how to produce quality images. Focus is sharp and detailed, I especially like that you have left in a number of freckles/moles that other photographers may have omitted, this piece is to me a portrait of beauty in an honest form which a lot of viewers can appreciate. The only thing stopping this from being of professional quality for me was the lack of originality in posing, and the slight overexposure of the model's bum; it blends too much into the background, I think I would like to have seen it defined a little more.
4 stars for impact, because despite the points for improvement, you present the audience with a subject who is assured of the strength she has in front of a camera. Whilst her eyes portray confidence, her body language (the way she hugs her arms and closes off her chest from the viewer) suggests that there is more to her, that she can be timid or has some aspect of her personality that she is reluctant to show us, the audience.
But to finish, this is an immensely impressive photograph, one of my favourites that I've seen since I joined DA a few weeks ago. You are most definitely growing in your capabilities, keep it up
